Today the weather was just right for cutting a hole in the roof of the summerhouse, to install the new potbellied stove flue.
Everything went according to plan, and it wasn't long before we were toasting ourselves in front of a wood fire.

The flue.
Overall view
Very satisfying to boil the kettle for free, as opposed to the camping gas cooker while keeping nice and warm.

Not much has been happening in terms of new Photography recently, the wet and windy weather coupled with long dark nights, has seen me resort to the archives on my iMac for material to enter in various photography websites.

On one of the sites this image did well for me yesterday, a tiny butterfly called a Duke of Burgundy fritillary photographed in the Tarn gorges, France
It won eight awards.

This image entered a few days ago, won five awards. Its a Four spot chaser dragonfly, photographed at a local nature reserve.

The following two images both won awards, they are of a Golden bloomed grey long horn beetle, photographed at a nature reserve in Norfolk.

Been a bit quiet on the blog for a while, thought I'd kick off the new year with a photo of our new stove, destined for the allotment summerhouse.
